What we keep

Your email address, the wedding details you enter — the date, the place, the guest list, the budget — and the messages and requests you send to vendors. Nothing else, and nothing from anywhere else on your phone.

If you set a profile picture, we keep that too. The camera and microphone are used only when you choose to add a photograph, a video clip or a voice note, and nothing is captured in the background.

Our Story is yours alone

The photographs, video clips and voice notes you add to Our Story are private to your account. They are stored under your wedding, and the server refuses to hand them to anyone else — not the vendors you are talking to, not another couple, nobody. That is enforced by the security rules on our side, not by the app on your phone.

What a vendor can see

Your name and picture, what you write in the conversation, and the details of a request you send them: the date, the guest count, the time and your notes. They cannot see your email address, your guest list, your budget or Our Story.

Pairing with your partner

When you link two accounts, both of you read and write the same wedding: the date and countdown, the budget, the guest list, the vendors you have chosen, your games and your story. Your name, your email address and your profile picture stay your own and are never merged.

An invitation is a six-digit code that expires after 24 hours. Only an account presenting a live code may join, and the server — not the app — decides that.

Where it is kept

On your phone, so the app works without a signal, and in the project's Google Firebase account, which stores and serves it for us. We do not sell your data and we do not pass it to anyone else.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from inside the app: Profile → Account → Delete account. Deleting the account deletes the wedding with it — the plan, the memories, the conversations, the requests and the quotes — automatically, not on request. Whatever files were stored become unopenable, because the one account allowed to open them no longer exists.

If you cannot reach the app, write to the address at the foot of this page and we will delete the account and everything under it.

Children

Weddings Vow is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect anything from them.
